Lakes Coaches is a third generation Bus and Coach company which was established in 1948 to service the Soldier Settlement Blocks in South West N.S.W.

It was the thought of Bervin and Hollie Thompson to establish the School Bus runs into Barham then when Bervene (Daughter) and Bobby Lake took over, they decided on advice from the local school principal that a Coach Charter service was needed…  So they set about expanding the School Bus runs, while at the same time doing School Excursions, Long Distance Tours, Day Theatre trips and just about anything else that was thrown at them.

Now, with Bervene, their two sons –Dean and  Greg, along with their families all work for the company in a way that differs substantially to their pioneer days.

Lakes Coaches services the area of South Western New South Wales, Regional Victoria and Metropolitan Melbourne and they can go all over Australia including the snow.

While also driving themselves they have a fantastic group of drivers with excellent knowledge of the industry and a wealth of experience.
